New patients welcome!
Check-ups, Cleanings & Consultations
Similar to adults, a check-up and cleaning every six months really helps children and teenagers maintain excellent oral health. During these 30-minute visits, our hygienists and doctors will provide brushing and flossing tips, make nutritional recommendations, discuss oral health habits, and provide fluoride recommendations to help keep your child’s gums healthy and teeth bright!
Restorative Care
Children of all ages suffer from tooth decay, dental injuries, and even tooth-related infections. Our restorative dental services restore the normal form and function of your child’s teeth.
Please call us right away if you suspect your child has a cavity! If a cavity is found or a dental injury occurs, we’ll evaluate your child and discuss the options for repairing it, which may include:
- Composite (tooth-colored) fillings
- Porcelain & stainless-steel crowns
- Stainless steel crown
- Silver diamine fluoride
Tongue & Lip Tie Releases
A tongue tie can lead to nursing, eating, and speech problems. A lip tie can restrict lip function, cause a space between the front upper teeth, and in some cases, even impede proper brushing. We’re here to help!
Dr. Jason Tesoriero obtained additional training to treat tongue and lip ties comfortably and effectively. Our soft tissue laser can be used on children of all ages, including newborns! The post-operative pain is limited, there is shortened healing time, and the procedure only takes a few minutes to complete. Performing a frenectomy allows for proper long-term oral development and function!
Fluoride Treatments
Fluoride treatments can help reduce, and in some cases, even treat cavities. We often recommend fluoride for pediatric patients. It’s great for children who have a history of cavities and for those who are looking to stay cavity-free! Fluoride applications are quick and easy, and we offer the choice of several fun flavors — our favorite is marshmallow!
Silver Diamine Fluoride (Cavity Treatment)
Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) is an antimicrobial liquid used to treat and control dental cavities in a fast, non-invasive manner. This dental service is non-invasive and only takes minutes. No ‘shots’ or ‘drills’ are required!
SDF is a great option for restless children or for teeth that are near exfoliation. It’s a great dental band-aid for countless situations!

Meet Dr. Jason Tesoriero, our board-certified pediatric dentist
“Everybody calls me Dr. Jason! Helping kids have a great experience at the dentist’s office is my true passion. Every child deserves to have a lifetime of smiles, and that starts with a great relationship with their dentist!”

Dr. Jason and the staff are absolutely wonderful. He makes my daughter feel comfortable, which makes each visit pleasant for her. I wouldn’t take her anywhere else.
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I bring my child in for their first appointment?
Most kids should see a pediatric dentist either by their first birthday or within 6 months of their first tooth coming in. It’s important to get into healthy habits at a young age to establish life-long oral health! First appointments are very educational for both parents and children.
Let’s just say my kids aren’t looking forward to seeing the dentist. Can you help?
Of course! Visiting the dentist isn’t usually anyone’s idea of a good time, but we have years of experience helping kids feel as comfortable and empowered as possible during their visits. Dr. Tesoriero is a board-certified pediatric dentist, which means he pursued two years of specialized training beyond dental school in order to confidently and comfortably treat children.
To help ensure a positive visit, we always recommend you inform your child of the purpose of the visit, but in a casual child-friendly manner. Try to avoid using words like “shot”, “needle”, or “drill” and allow our team to do most of the communication!
Do I need dental insurance for you to see my child?
We welcome children of all ages, with and without dental insurance coverage. Our recommendations and treatment plans are guided by what’s best for our patients’ health, not their insurance coverage. A discussion of financing and payment options is part of every first visit to our office. Your child’s first visit under the age of three is free!
Will my child’s dental treatment be covered?
We are in-network providers with a variety of insurance companies, but please do keep in mind that many insurance plans differ in terms of what they’ll cover. Most dental insurance plans cover preventative care which includes six-month cleanings and exams. Usually, restorative treatment is covered in some capacity and will vary based on deductibles and maximums.
Please contact our office at (732) 852-9200 for more details. At your new patient appointment, we’ll review your benefits and provide an estimated out-of-pocket investment for your treatment plan
